Kiddo Genius - Kids Learning (the "App")

1. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, and the App does not send to us, any personal information such as real name, email address, phone number, address, location, photos, contacts, microphone recordings or government IDs. The App has no user accounts and we operate no server that receives your child's data.
2. Information stored only on your device
To work properly, the App saves the following small pieces of information locally on the device. This information is never transmitted to us:
- A first name or nickname and an avatar picture chosen by the parent or child, and the child's age group (for example 3-4, 5-6 or 7-8 years).
- Learning progress: stars earned, quiz and game results, which letters, numbers and words the child has opened, and which days the App was used.
- Settings: the background music chosen, and the daily screen-time limit set by a parent, with how much time has been used today.
This data can be removed at any time by choosing Profile Switch / Reset inside the Parent Zone, by clearing the App's storage in the phone settings, or by uninstalling the App.
3. Advertising
The App may show ads provided by Google AdMob. Because the App is designed for children, we configure every ad request as child-directed (Tag for Child-Directed Treatment, and age-restricted treatment set to child) and limit ads to the "G" (general audience) content rating. This means ads are not personalized, and no interest-based advertising or behavioural profiling is used. Ads are never shown inside the Parent Zone settings. Google may process limited technical information, such as the device's IP address and device type, to deliver and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Other services used by the App
- Google Fonts: the App downloads the "Baloo 2" font from Google Fonts. Google may receive the device's IP address when the font is requested.
- Text-to-speech: some words are read aloud using the voice engine already installed on the device. Many words are played from audio recordings bundled inside the App. No audio is recorded or sent anywhere.
- Google Play: the App is distributed through Google Play, which handles installation and updates under its own privacy policy.
We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and we do not use the Android advertising ID for tracking children.
5. Children's privacy
The App is designed for children, and we follow the Google Play Families Policy and the principles of the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Because we do not collect personal data from children, no verifiable parental consent is needed. The App contains no external links or purchases that a child can open without passing the Parent Zone's simple parent-only question.
6. Parental controls
The Parent Zone is protected by a simple question meant for adults. Parents can view a progress report, set a daily screen-time limit, and reset the profile there.
7. Paid features
If we add an optional ad-free subscription in the future, payments will be processed entirely by Google Play. We will not receive or store payment card details. This policy will be updated before such a feature is released.
8. Data security and retention
Since the information stays on your device, it is protected by your device's own security. We do not retain any child data, because we never receive it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, with the effective date above. Significant changes will be notified in the App.
